Welcome Leona McGovern and Joseph Mawson to Astin Accounts Solutions!
We are thrilled to announce the addition of two talented professionals to our team, Leona McGovern and Joseph Mawson, our new Client Accountants. Their extensive experience and qualifications make them valuable assets to our Accounts team.
Leona brings a wealth of expertise to her role as a Client Accountant. After leaving Ballakermeen High School she went on to complete her level 3 Business at the Isle of Man College. She joined Zedra in 2016 as a trainee bookkeeper where she rose to the position of supervisor. In March 2022, she earned her qualification from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and in March 2023, Leona joined Astin Accounts Solutions as a Client Accountant.
In her new role, Leona is responsible for a diverse range of financial tasks, including bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT, financial statements, and audit liaison with a portfolio primarily consisting of B2C and B2B eGaming clients. With her exceptional skills and experience, Leona is well-equipped to provide our clients with a multitude of high quality accounting services.
Joseph Mawson is another valuable addition to our team. Like Leona, Joseph attended Ballakermeen High School before starting his accounting career. He began as an administrative assistant at Appleby Fund Services in 2014 and later moved to CM Partners Limited in 2016, where he held the position of Senior Accountant. Joseph completed his exams in July 2022 and achieved his ACCA qualification in 2023, joining Astin Accounts Solutions as a Client Accountant in June of this year.
Joseph’s expertise covers various areas, including bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT, financial statements, and audit liaison. His portfolio comprises a diverse range of clients, including B2C and B2B eGaming, investment holding, charities, and property structures. With his in-depth knowledge and skill set, Joseph is poised to make a significant impact on the services we provide to our clients.
