Job opportunity: part-time bookkeeper

As a growing Isle of Man accountancy firm, we are seeking a lively, dynamic, experienced and enthusiastic part-time bookkeeper.

The firm: At Astin Accounts Solutions, our passion is assisting ambitious, small to medium-sized enterprises that require accounting knowledge, expertise and input – without the overheads associated with employing in-house staff.

Working remotely for clients based across the UK, Isle of Man, France and Dubai, we offer a wide range of outsourced finance services, providing all the support our clients need to take their business in the right direction.

As a modern, progressive-thinking company and responsible employer, our high-quality services are accompanied with the appropriate balance of professionalism and approachability. Building long-term relationships is very much part of our ethos. It makes for effective results. That’s why many of our clients have become lasting friends, as well as business associates.

The position: This role is part time (20 to 25 hours – negotiable and flexible working hours) and the candidate will be responsible for a wide range of bookkeeping and office administration functions for a diverse portfolio of companies across various industries.

This is a varied role in an enjoyable environment which also offers a competitive salary.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ bookkeeping experience to Trial Balance stage. This role would be ideal for someone looking for flexible working hours and who holds the Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) or equivalent qualification.

You will relish the chance to work in a small, friendly, private client environment where quality of output, organisation, attention to detail, flexibility and first-class communication skills are essential.

The role could consist of the following duties:

  • Preparing client and internal payments
  • Day to day bookkeeping on accounting systems
  • Preparing payroll for clients
  • Scanning and filing
  • Client correspondence / communication
  • General office and administration duties
