We’re thrilled to welcome Andrea O’Grady to our team! With over 20 years of experience in the finance industry, Andrea brings a depth of expertise to her new role as a client accountant. She joined us in August 2024 from Continent 8 Technologies Plc, where she spent eight years as a management accountant. We quizzed Andrea to learn a little more about her career journey, her experience at Astin so far, and some of her personal interests…

Please tell us a bit about your role at Astin Accounts

My position as a client accountant involves bookkeeping, vat preparation and management accounts for a range of clients in the e-gaming sector (B2B and B2C).

What are you enjoying about being part of the Astin Accounts team?

There is a wealth of knowledge in the office, work is discussed and planned out to achieve timely results.  The team are super friendly and lots of laughs are had.

Please tell us about your career so far…

I have worked in finance for the past twenty five years, in varied environments from banking, payroll, bookkeeping and e-gaming.  Before joining Astin’s I worked for a large tech company as a management accountant in a very busy department.  As such I’m organised and used to working to tight deadlines which compliments client accounting perfectly.

Can you tell us a bit about your life outside of work? 

I have an active family /social balance.  Enjoying walks, eating out and family/friends gatherings.  I do like to travel, staring at oil paintings and enjoy the spoken word.

Can you tell us a fun fact about yourself? 

I like immersive music festivals!

What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve ever been given?

Always work in manageable bites, one piece at a time.
